Host Family
What does a successful host family look like?
The successful host family welcomes the student as a part of their family and include them in family activities and outings where appropriate.
Successful host families are people who:
- Are friendly & show a duty of care
- Are experienced with young people
- Live near the school their student will attend
- Have plenty of room for an extra person
GUARDIANSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
A guardian is required for students under the age of 18 and accepts responsibility for the student's welfare, discipline and accommodation and the monitoring of academic progress, much like a parent.
